Chevron has been Missoni’s signature print for years and they have often been a source of inspiration for me when designing textiles. I love the using them as a way to graphically mix up colorways or in a bold one color statement. Blended they become a subtle statement of classic design. Dizzy up or down.. chevrons offer so much versatility which makes them so fun to mix into fashion or home decor.
Jonathan Adler is a big fan of the chevron rug in his book Happy Chic: Colors.

I love the chevron rugs, pillows but I wonder if you think the chevron pattern has about run its course. I’m contemplating using the chevron pattern in my house but don’t want to change it again in a year or so when this pattern is now outdated. What’s your thoughts?
Chevron, along with the greek key, are some of the classic patterns from the history of textile design. Chevron, in bright poppy colors has recently become very become popular, go for a neutral chevron, it will outlast the current trend.

How do you actually ORDER the stencil?
There is actually not a stencil, but if you just use tape to block off areas then you can create your own stencil. A fun and easy DIY project.
I’m just about to begin remodeling & love the glossy chevron painted floor for a kitchen or bathroom. What flooring material is the best to paint on? & doesn’t it scratch from wear pretty easily?
