There’s always something new going on at the design studio of Annette Tatum. This week, it’s the debut of Annette’s latest collection for Free Spirit Fabrics. The new MOD collection, inspired by the modern style guide section in Annette’s book, “The Well-Dressed Home” will be available at the International Quilt Market in Houston this weekend.
Annette was inspired by this style guide collage from her book for the MOD collection of fabrics.
Modern shapes and designs, combined with the bold colors of teal, orange, grape and olive create a modern palette for this year’s collection.
Thanks to Sew, Mama, Sew! for featuring us on her blog!
Read Annette’s comments, below, on her new collection.
“Part of the fun of participating in the Quilt Market is that I get to create a one-of-a-kind quilt for display. This year I wanted everything to be simple, reflecting the simple design shapes and colors associated with the style of Modern. I also wanted this collection to be more colorful and fun so that when the patterns are all mixed together, the finished product is a colorful interpretation of Modern. I love the result! Crazy and mixed-up colors with vibrant patterns that are great for mixing and matching, or sewing your favorite bag or other craft project. Enjoy! And keep checking the blog for more ideas on how to use these prints.”

I love these new mod patterns, and have been looking online to see how large the designs in each of your patterns are (you know, a swatch with an image of a ruler on the bottom kind of thing). I can’t find that information anywhere. Any guidance?
